F.A.Q.

What can I expect when visiting the church?

You will meet a variety of people and personalities and you will experience a warm welcome from may people.  During the service you will hear several prayers.  We will take the Lord’s Supper (Communion) and take up a collection.  As a visitor, you are not expected to contribute, however, you certainly are free to do so.  You will hear a Bible based lesson.  You will hear acapella singing and you are encouraged to join in praising God.

Is there a nursery available for babies?

Yes, we have a nursery available for babies.

Is there a separate service for children during the adult assembly/sermon?

Yes, we have a children’s church available for toddlers and children during the adult assembly/sermon.

How do I dress to attend this church?

Casual dress is welcome.

How do you teach and where do your lessons come from?

We believe the Bible is our guide and most of our members hold the following beliefs:
      1. The Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God – (2 Timothy 3:16)
      2. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, offered Himself as the sacrifice for our sins on the cross, died and was buried.  He arose from the dead three days later to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will one day return.  He is serving now as the head of the church. (Matthew 1:21-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; Hebrews 4:14-15, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; I Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13; Ephesians 1:22-23)

How does one become a Christian?
One becomes a Christian by faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God.  This leads one to repent of their sins, confess their faith in Jesus, and to be baptized for the forgiveness of their sins.  It is at this point that the blood of Jesus washes our sins away.  Our salvation is totally a matter of God’s grace and something we cannot in any way earn.  (Mark 16:15-16; Acts 2:38-39, Romans 6:3-4; Ephesians 2:8-9)
Do you take communion, and how often?
Yes, we take communion every Sunday in memory of Jesus because we believe this was the practice of the early church, (Acts 20:6-7).
Do you believe in baptism?
Yes. We believe in baptism by immersion for believers to receive the forgiveness of their sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit, (Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:20-21; Acts 8:36-39).
What is the organization of the church?
We believe the church is to be organized with Elders, Deacons, and Ministers serving as its leaders and that every member is to be involved in its ministry, (1 Timothy 3:1-12; Titus 1:5-9; Philippians 1:1).
